Support Program

Relationships Australia’s Supporting Children After Separation Program provides children between 6-17 years old support to make sense of their parents’ separation and adapt to changes in the family.

For Adults

For adults, finding support can look like unpacking both childhood or present experiences with the support of a counsellor, or through self-reflection.

Counselling

Supporting Minds offers free clinical mental heath support. The service is accessible (no Medicare card or GP referral required). Participants are paired with a mental health worker who will assist in developing a personalised health care plan.

Self Help Books

Self-help books offer a low cost resource to understanding and overcoming childhood ‘wounds’. Through addressing and learning about hurts that have been suppressed, associated mental health implications can be minimised.

Reflection

Self-reflection is a powerful tool. Journalling or chatting with a trusted friend can increase understanding of reactions, behavioural patterns and where they stem from. Click the button below for reflection prompts.

For Parents

A range of services are accessible for parents in the midst of family separation, both to assist in supporting children involved and navigate changing parenting dynamics.
