Counselling

Relationships Australia offers a specialised counselling service for children and adolescents from 5 years old. Their counselling creates space for young people to unpack their feelings surrounding a variety of issues, including divorce.

Kids Helpline is a free, national support service that offers confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling services. It provides a space for children to discuss a range of issues, including family separation.

Catholic Care offers a program tailored to supporting children post separation. The program helps children and young people deal with issues that come from a family breakdown through counselling and / or group work.

For Adults

Anglicare’s For the Kids Program supports parents in developing a cooperative co-parenting arrangement in the best interest of your children, as well as an understanding of the effects of conflict on children and strategies to respond to the challenges associated with separation.

Relationships Australia provides the Northern Territory Family Relationship Centre Services, including providing information about family relationships at all stages – forming new relationships, overcoming relationship difficulties or dealing with separation.
